Dreamer's Scholarship Empowerment Program
College attendance is a major milestone in a young person's life, but for some students, this transition can be very difficult and lead to poor grades. College students who fail courses, many times battle with negative stereotypes of those around them, low self-esteem, lack of self-awareness, and negative thinking. To counteract this, scholars in the The Dreamer's Scholarship Empowerment Program are encouraged to discover who they are, their strengths, their growth areas, and identify their why for attending college. By addressing the social-emotional needs of self-awareness, authenticity, sense of belonging, and psychological well-being, high-risk college students can develop the grit and perseverance needed to persist to graduation, while receiving needed financial support and motivation.
